From idea to submission, we bring to you #kalarasoch, a space to write about your encounters with Nepali Art and to learn from our art writing community. 

Send us your idea/ pitch in upto 200 words, summarizing what you wish to write about. 

Four applications will be chosen, followed by a brief mentoring session facilitated by the jury panel where they will share their own writing experience, process and will take specific questions regarding your chosen idea. You will then receive another week to fully develop your article, which will be sent to The Record Nepal for editorial guidance and publishing thereafter. 

The final article can be anywhere between 1000 – 1500 words. 

All articles will be accepted in English

All selected writers will be paid.

Pls note we are looking to work with ideas that can reach a wider audience, providing a different perspective of Nepali Arts and Culture. Some examples include but are not limited to- artist retrospectives, an exhibition review, positioning of the arts in our current times, the sociopolitical framework around arts and culture, etc.
