Bhoye – The Feast

Bhoye — The Feast marked the opening chapter of Palette and Palate, bringing together contemporary art and culinary culture within the intimate setting of Mezze by Roadhouse. Presented as a solo exhibition by Sagar Manandhar, the series unfolded as a sensory exploration of Newari cultural life, where food serves as a memory, a ritual, and an emotional language. Through abstraction, Manandhar translated the act of cooking and communal dining into layered compositions that echoed the rhythm, warmth, and shared presence of a traditional bhoye.

The exhibition invited viewers to experience flavour as form and colour as emotion, blurring the boundaries between the visual and the sensory. An artist walkthrough further deepened conversations around heritage, memory, and contemporary expression.
